Jenny Brown, vegan speaker, educator and published author is renowned for her work in the animal rights movement. She is known for her foundation of Woodstock Sanctuary, a safe haven for rescued animal victims of the food production industry. Now, through her educational efforts, Jenny fights diligently to shed a light on the power of plant-based living.
All of her life, Jenny Brown has felt an immense connection to animals. From a young age, she felt compelled to act as a sounding board for often defenseless and helpless living beings. A cancer survivor and amputee at just ten years old, Jenny is no stranger to persevering in the face of adversity. After caring for a scrappy litter runt while she recovered from a leg amputation, a seed of compassion was planted in her purpose.
Advocate for Plant-based Living
The first step in Jenny Brown’s journey to becoming a voice for the voiceless and the vegan community started with a conscious decision to become a vegetarian. A humble beginning, Jenny took this leap at just 18 years old. Little did she know, this decision would set the course for the rest of her life…
Ten years later, Jenny Brown worked as an undercover Animal Rights documentary filmmaker. A modern muckraker, Jenny went from stockyard to stockyard, capturing horrific scenes of factory farming. Forever changed by the experience, she decided to be even more proactive within the Animal Rights Activism cause by founding Woodstock Sanctuary in 2004. With her help, the animal rescue initiative has become renowned for its rehabilitation and care of the animal victims of the food production industry.
Since leaving Woodstock Sanctuary, Jenny Brown has embarked on a mission to educate the masses about veganism, animal rights and plant-based living. Her mission-backed memoir, The Lucky Ones: My Passionate Fight for Farm Animals is celebrated for its unique, firsthand account of her journey. Strengthened by her incredible personal triumphs, Jenny’s book proves that if you care about animals, your actions need to speak louder than your words. Through her speaking engagements, she highlights the importance of that perspective. By educating the public, Jenny Brown, Woodstock co-founder and Vegan Educator, hopes to inspire others to both speak up and stand up for animal rights.
